The Miscellaneous Setups window groups a number of setup tools together under a single option. Not all of these items will need to be changed from the defaults.
Responsible Party Types
Responsible Party Types are used for reporting and are typically financial in nature. Responsible Party Types appear in the patient record and can be seen in the Patient Overview screen. Only one type may apply to a single party. Some sample responsible party types are already included; they can be added to, edited or deleted.

To add a responsible party type:

Select Responsible Party Type in the Misc Setups window.

Note: This field is used for data storage.
Click the Edit button.In the bottom section, type a code in the Type Code field.
Type the description in the Description field.
Click the Add button.
Click the Save button when complete.
