Miscellaneous Setup
The Miscellaneous Setups window groups a number of setup tools together under a single option. Not all of these items will need to be changed from the defaults.
The window is opened by selecting Misc Setups from the
Setup menu. The Misc. Setups window lists the
different setup options on the left side. When one item is selected, a preview of the
information is displayed on the right side.
Note: Some of these setup items serve to display
stored data in the system and should not be modified without the assistance of a QSIDental
Project Manager. The setup items include the following:
- ADA Categories: These categories are preset in the system and simplify the treatment items selection process in some modules in QSIDental Web.
- Cancellation Reason Codes: A practice can set up customized cancellation reason codes for missed or cancelled appointments.
- Insurance Plan Reporting Type and Insurance Plan Reporting Sub Type : This reporting type classifies insurance plans into categories. Currently, no reports pull this data, but it is stored for future functionality.
- Provider Specialties: Provider specialities assigns codes for provider specialties. Currently, no reports pull this data, but it is stored for future functionality.
- Notes Macros: Notes Macros displays the categories available for Notes Macros, a once popular notes tool that is now used primarily for communication.
