Add an ICD Code

International Classification of Diseases (ICD) codes are diagnostic codes used by some practices to track medical diagnosis or problems. Additionally, the codes are used to communicate with some insurance companies for certain types of procedures. The current list of ICD10 Codes is available through the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention website.

To add ICD Codes:

  1. Navigate to Setup > Procedure Codes > ICD Codes.
  2. Click the Edit button.

    For each code to be added:

    1. Type the Code.
    2. Type the Description.
    3. Select the ICD type.
    4. Click the Add button.
    5. When complete, click the Save button.
      Note: The list may be saved at any time. Return to editing by clicking the Edit button again).
