The following is a summary of the new features and enhancements in QSIDental Web 3.5.0.0:

Today's Timeline

A new window Today's Timeline has been created which displays patient appointments scheduled for the day and corresponding information about a selected appointment.

Touchless Enhancements
  • You can now access the Appointment Intake Form from the Scheduler and view or email it to the patient by right-clicking an appointment and selecting Appointment Intake Form and then selecting Update or Email.
  • When you create an Appointment Intake Form, a new option, When an appointment status changes to In Reception, show the Appointment Intake Form, has been added to the Appointment Intake Form window. When you select this option, you can view the appointment intake form when the status of an appointment changes to In Reception.
Audit Exceptions for 835 File
  • A QDW user now has different posting options based on the Paid vs Expected Variance Exceeds Allowed Amount in the ERA Profile. These options include
    • Audit Only
    • Partially Pay
    • Reject
    • Audit
    • None
  • A user can set the threshold variance using the Claim Variance Allowed and Line Variance Allowed fields in the ERA Profile.

Modifications to Claim-Related Windows and screens

  • Payment Posting tab has been added to Account Setup. A QDW user may use this tab to set the defaults for the Insurance Payment Screen, and the 835/Electronic Insurance Payments.
  • The banner at the top of the Insurance Payment screen and the Account Ledger now includes the subscriber information for the primary insurance of the selected claim.
  • The hover displaying information over the Description field of the Account Ledger has been updated to include new fields.
  • The Primary Dental Insurance Page has been updated to include new fields in the Patient/Subscriber Information section. The Procedures in this Claim section now displays the Totals. The Claim Amount section has been updated with new fields.
Patient Consent Letters
  • If a consent form is not signed but has been set in Form Tracking, then an exclamation mark appeared only in the Patient Information section. Now, QDW has been updated wherein an exclamation mark appears either in the Patient Information section or the Responsible Party section depending on to whom the consent letter was addressed to while creating it.
  • In the Email Template Setup window, to allow the responsible party to provide consent, a new template, Resp Party Consent Attachment Email has been added.
