3.9.0.0 Release

The following is a summary of the new features and enhancements in QSIDental Web 3.9.0.0:

Enhancement to Insurance Plan Setup Window

  • The Carrier list is replaced with the Carrier Search icon. When you click the Carrier Search icon, you can now search for an existing carrier or add a carrier.

  • You can view the fee schedule assignment for the carrier by clicking View Assignments when adding an insurance plan. The fee schedule assignment for the selected carrier is displayed on the right side of the Carrier field.
  • For managed care plan type:
    • You can now select an employer. The Employer field is enabled.
    • The Group No. field label changes to Cap Fee ID and the Do not allow a mismatch of Group Number check box does not appear.
    • The Fees to print on claims field by default displays Actual Charges.

Enhancement to Dental Insurance Carrier Setup and Medical Insurance Carrier Windows

A new field, Carrier Notes, is added on the Dental Insurance Carrier Setup and Medical Insurance Carrier Setup windows. You can now add notes related to a carrier.

Remove Bill Order

  • A new action, Remove Bill Order, is added to the icon when a patient cancels or deletes the primary and/or secondary insurance coverage after the charges are entered for a procedure but before a claim is created. You can now remove the billing order assigned to the procedure and bill the patient instead of the insurance carrier.

  • Under Reports > Insurance Reports and Utilities > Task Scheduler > Add New Task > Generate Reports > Insurance Reports, a new report Rebill/Billing Order not completed is added. This report to list all records with rebill actions such as rebill, remove bill order, remove claim, recreate claim, and so on. You can export this report to an Excel spreadsheet by clicking .

    From Task Scheduler, you can generate the Rebill/Billing Order not completed report for multiple offices or for all the offices, however, from the Reports menu, you can generate the report only for the office that you are logged on to.

Stage and Grade Values

  • A new field, Enable Stage and Grade Class, is added in the Chart, Perio Preferences tab on the Provider Setup window. If this field is set to Yes, the provider can enter the stage and grade values on the Perio Chart window.
  • The stage and grade values appear in the following:
    • The Patient Info bar on the Perio Chart.
    • The Patient Info pane on the Tooth Chart.
    • The perio graphic chart when you click Print.

Recession in Perio Chart

You can now double-click the button and apply “lock” while charting Recession. This enables you to add recession values without clicking the button each time. The values are strike-through.
