Accept Referrals From External Source
You can accept an incoming referral from a different account or an external source.

From the Patient menu, select Patient
Referral.
The Patient Referral (Overview) window opens.
- Click the Incoming Referrals tab.

Click the Date link of the new referral.
The Patient Referral (Details) window opens displaying the referrals details.

Click Accept Referral.
Note: To accept a referral, the Referred To provider must be the default provider. To set the referred to provider as the default provider, go to .The Patient Referral tab opens.Note: If there is a matching patient then you will be able to see the matching patient screen.
- If there is a matching patient, select the record, and click Link Referral. The status changes to Accepted and the Patient Overview window opens displaying the referred patient's details.
- If there are no matching patients, deselect the record and click
Create New Patient. The Patient
Information window opens. For more information on
creating a new patient, see Add Patient Information (PG).Note: For Incoming External Ref, the List of Matching Responsible Parties window is not available.
