Insurance Eligibility

The appointment block on the Scheduler indicates information regarding the patient's insurance through the use of the following letter icons:

• P - the patient has one (primary) dental insurance plan on file in his or her QSIDental Web record.
• S - the patient has two (secondary) dental insurance plans on file in his or her QSIDental Web record.

You can hover over either of these icons to view information regarding the patient's eligibility status. The color of the icon also provides the following information regarding the patient's eligibility:

• Green - the patient is considered eligible for insurance coverage.
• Red - the patient is considered ineligible for insurance coverage.
• Grey - the insurance coverage is unknown for the insurance carrier.

For example, in the following window shot, the appointment block shows a green P and a gray S, which indicate that the patient has both primary and secondary coverage and also that the patient is eligible for coverage under the primary plan. Eligibility for the patient’s secondary plan is unknown.
