Review ePrescriptions

Whether reviewing from the patient side or from the Manage ePrescribing side, there is a lot of information available about specific prescriptions and the patient.

The icons provide options and information about the prescription. Check marks indicate the option is selected:

Open the menu to work with multiple prescriptions for the patient at one time or get specific information about the selected patient and medication(s).

Select the check box to e-send the prescription to the selected pharmacy.

Select the check box to print the prescription.

Select the check box to mark the prescription as filled. Nothing will be sent to the pharmacy. When this option is chosen, select the reason from the dropdown.

Click to delete the prescription.

Click the Complete button to finalize the selected pending prescription and send, print or complete it as indicated.

Patient Prescription Option Menu

When reviewing patient's prescriptions, the option menu can provide shortcuts for working with multiple prescriptions and access to summary details. Launch the menu with the options icon ( ).

Open the menu to work with multiple prescriptions for the same patient at one time. Each of these functions may be performed for each individual prescription, but a provider can save time by working with the group. Menu options for multiple prescriptions include:

  • Check All Pending eSend: Select all patient's pending prescriptions and electronically send them.
  • Check All Pending Print: Select all patient's pending prescriptions and print them.
  • Check All Pending Approved: Select all patient's pending prescriptions as approved.
  • Uncheck All-Not Ready to Appr/Send: Deselect all patient's pending prescriptions and work with each individually.

In addition to these functions, the provider may use this menu to refill, and to access detailed information about the patient's prescription history, interactions, and eligibility. Options include:

  • Refill All Current Meds: Create a new pending prescription for all medications marked as current.Medications will be listed as pending and can be adjusted if desired.
  • Mark as Takes No Meds: Indicate the patient is not currently taking medication. Using this option is more accurate than simply leaving the prescriptions blank.
  • Patient Alert Checker: Launch the Patient Prescription Alert page.

  • Eligibility/Rx Hx Lookup: Review the patient's eligibility and historical prescriptions.

  • Print the Medication Summary: Print a list of the patient's medications, sorted by prescriber with instructions and pharmacy details.It is first viewable on screen, and can also be printed on paper to be delivered to the patient.

  • Hide Refilled Historical Rxs: Select this checkbox to hide historical prescriptions that have been refilled.

Finally, the menu may be used to set some display preferences:

  • Quick Add: Only show meds for patient conditions: Select this checkbox to filter the patient medication list only to those conditions relevant to this provider.
  • Sort By: Select the desired sort order from the dropdown.

  • ColorCode: Select this checkbox to apply color coding to the displayed prescriptions.
