Entering Exam Data: Other Data
In addition to pocket depth, other measurements may be taken as part of a periodontal examination. Measurements for Gingival Margin, Furcation, Mobility and Muco Gin. Junc. (Muco Gingival Junction) can be included using the appropriate buttons.
In the chart, the Bleeding button allows the entry of a color, typically red, to represent any pockets that are bleeding when perio probing is done. The Suppuration button uses a color, typically yellow, to represent pockets where infection (pus) is present. If both bleeding and suppuration are present, a new color, typically brown, will identify the entry.
