Perio Voice Commands

Periodontal health is an important component to a patient’s overall oral health. In the comprehensive periodontal module, QSIDental Web has robust periodontal charting tools to help diagnose and treat patients. Among the available tools is voice-activated perio charting that enables periodontal exam findings to be entered using the voice rather than a keyboard or mouse. Voice entry decreases chances of cross-contamination and improves patient safety.

Once the Voice Activated Perio Charting tool has been set up and the user has been trained, the tool is ready to be used to add examination results. Voice commands can be used throughout the examination, including procedural, navigational, data entry and function selection commands.

Procedural Commands

Save Exam	Saves the perio exam
Scratch That	Removes the last voice input
Redo That	Replaces the most recently “scratched” item

Navigational Commands

Data Entry Commands

Plus Number	Input the number as a measurement for mobility	Plus 2
Bleeding	Adds bleeding to the previous pocket if the current pocket has no measurement or current pocked if a measurement has been entered
Bleeding All	Adds bleeding to the three previous pockets
Suppuration	Adds suppuration to the previous pocket if the current pocket has no measurement or to the current pocket if a measurement has been entered
