Office Settings (Add an Office - Step 2 of 10)
Complete the office finance charge requirements and other logistical preferences.
Following are descriptions of the fields on this window:
- Finance Charges: Allow the office to charge interest on past due balances by specifying values for the annual finance charge, minimum balance, minimum finance charge, and the number of days before applying the finance charge.
- Sales Tax %: Enter the sales tax rate for the office.
- # of days before appt. to check eligibility: QSIDental Web can confirm a patient’s insurance coverage and eligibility for procedures. The check is performed in an overnight sweep a set number of days before the appointment. Eligibility is indicated on the Patient Overview and the Scheduler.
- X-ray System: Associates the X-ray system with QSIDental Web.
- Default Place of Service: Select the office or the patient’s home.
- Search Patients in all offices: Select this option to conduct patient searches in all offices by default. Individual searches can be adjusted by the user.
- Scheduler Time Interval: Select the default interval for the Scheduler.
- Fees: Fees in QSIDental Web are adaptive and can be associated with an office, insurance plan, provider, or patient.
- Use smart fee schedules: Set this as No.
- Default Fee Schedule: Select the office default which will be applied in most circumstances. At the initial office setup, the fee schedules have not yet been established. As fee schedules are added, this information can be updated.
- Enable Health History Link: Select this option to allow users to email users a link to their health history so that it can be reviewed and completed online. When this is enabled, an Email Health History Link option will appear when a user right-clicks an appointment and also on the Patient menu. Users will also be able to edit the email template at Reports > Custom > Custom Email Template.
