Views and Filters

QSIDental Web offers many tools for viewing and displaying information. Different types of entries may be shown or hidden as needed so that the most useful and necessary information is visible. The most common way of managing the display of the patient's record is using filters; however, there are other options for adjusting the view. All information is retained in the record. The filters simply hide some information until another filter is applied.

Since the chart and its details can become very extensive, it is helpful to use a filter to select only specific items to display. For example, it is a good practice to use the filter to display all treatments posted today before the patient is dismissed.

Typically, the practice will establish some preset, frequently used filters.

A filter can also be created on the fly for a single specific purpose within a chart. This type of filter is referred to as a single-use filter and must be created each time it is used. However, preset filters may be created by the practice.
