Creating and Managing Tasks in the Scheduler

Tasks are created in the scheduler to be processed automatically within QSIDental Web. While many of these tasks will substitute for overnight processes, the tasks can be set to run at nearly any time of the day or night.

While the options within the task setup are interdependent, in general there are several components to each task.

• The task itself
• The specifics related to the task – a particular report, exclusions, etc.
• The offices within the practice that are part of the task
• The interval and frequency for the performance of the task
• Notification of the task completion

When setting up the task, each window reflects the decisions made on the previous window so options may vary. For example, selecting a weekly interval will trigger different frequency options than selecting a monthly interval.

Note: Depending on Administrator settings tasks may run at a time different then scheduled. In this case, the following message displays.

The available tasks include:

• Generate Regular Payment Plan Charges
• Generate Orthodontic Payment Plan Charges
• Statements
• Reports
• Collection Letters
• 835 Auto Posting
• Batch Claims
