About the Patient Info Pane

The Tooth Chart's Patient Info pane displays much of the same data found on the Patient Overview window, such as information regarding demographics, the responsible party, insurance, appointments, recalls, an emergency contact and medical alerts. Following are notes on some of the features you see in the Patient Info pane:

• The Edit icon that appears next to various sections of the pane allows you to edit the information in that section. For more information see Edit Patient Information from the Patient Info Pane.
• You can add a new appointment by clicking the New Appt icon in the Appointments section. For more information see Add an Appointment from the Patient Info Pane.
• If the patient's insurance plan has any service restrictions, a View Service Restrictions link will appear in the Patient Insurance area of the pane. For more information see Check for Service Restrictions from the Patient Info Pane.
• In the Patient Insurance section of the pane, a Verified icon indicates eligibility has been verified, and a Needs verification icon indicates eligibility has not been verified. For more information see About Eligibility Verification.
• In the Recalls section of the pane, an alert icon will display if recall dates are missing or if the recalls are overdue.
• You can upload an image of the patient by clicking the Add Picture icon (or the existing image). For more information see Add a Patient Photo.
• The Responsible Party section of the pane may or may not show balances depending on how the office was set up by your administrator.

Note: The Patient Info pane may not appear on smaller displays.
