Miscellaneous Setup
The Miscellaneous Setups window groups a number of setup tools together under a single option. Not all of these items will need to be changed from the defaults.
Open the window by selecting Misc Setups from the Setup menu. The Misc Setups window lists the different setup options on the left side. When one item is selected, a preview of the information is displayed on the right side.
Some of these setup items serve to display stored data in the system and should not be modified without the assistance of a QSIDental Project Manager, including:
- ADA Categories are preset in the system and simplify the treatment items selection process in some modules in QSIDental Web.
- Insurance Plan Reporting Type and Insurance Plan Reporting Sub Type classify insurance plans into categories. Currently, no reports pull this data, but it is stored for future functionality.
- Provider Specialties assigns codes for provider specialties. Currently, no reports pull this data, but it is stored for future functionality.
- Notes Macros display the categories available for Notes Macros, a once popular notes tool that is now used primarily for communication.
