Drug Search Tools
The QSIDental Web ePrescribing/MDToolbox module allows a clinician to change the search criteria and source database when adding a new prescription. The option is not saved as a preference and must be adjusted each time.
In the prescription writing window, click the Drug Search Tools icon. The resultant menu includes a variety of radio buttons to filter and manage the search for a specific medication.
In the first section, click the radio button beside the desired search limit. Please note that only one option may be selected.
- Selecting All Drugs will search within the full library of all drugs as provided by MDToolbox.
- Selecting Library will conduct the search within the practice's library.
- Selecting Favorites will conduct the search only within the prescriber's established list of favorites.
- Selecting Drug Class will search for a class of drug rather than the drug name.
- Selecting Indication will search for the indication rather than the drug name.
