New Features and Enhancements
Interoperability
Customers have requested the ability to work with third parties to accomplish services for their patients such as online scheduling and electronic appointment reminders. This API will allow customers to choose the vendor of their choice to accomplish these services.
Revenue Cycle Management
This new feature began as an “Idea” submitted by a customer in Success Community and received the most customer votes of any Idea. In this release we will improve the calculation of Service Item Restrictions by reviewing previous history in a patient’s clinical and ledger history and warn the user when Frequency or Time Interval limits have been exceeded. This enhancement will also improve the handling of estimated insurance amounts on services that exceed a limitation by automatically removing the insurance estimate and recalculating the patient responsibility. This enhancement is a by-product of the new Eligibility Service. With the improved eligibility information, we will enhance the method used to create Service Restrictions for an insurance plan. With this improved insurance benefit information and service restrictions for insurance plans you will be able to achieve more accurate Treatment Plan Estimates which should result in higher acceptance rates by patients. User Experience
An Idea in Success Community suggested that a User should be able to easily make corrections to information present in the Patient Information pane that is displayed on the Tooth Chart page. This enhancement will improve the usability of the Tooth Chart by providing quick access to the respective sections included in the patient information pane. For more information see Patient Info Pane.
This improvement will display the Recall Date and the Insurance Verified Date in red font color on Patient Overview and Tooth Chart if dates are in a past-due condition. This will improve the usability of QDW by allowing front desk and clinical staff to easily detect these important past-due details. While making changes to the Eligibility Service and the Insurance Plan Setup, we noticed that we could improve the general usability of QDW by making insurance plan detail information easily available to users in three key locations: Patient Overview, Tooth Chart, and Appointment List View. This improvement will provide easy access to the Insurance Plan Details popup.Enhanced the QDW Eligibility Service through integration with Sound Payments.
