Statements

A QSIDental Web Statement of Account, or statement, is a summary of all transactions and credits created during a specific time period—usually one month. The purpose of the statement is to remind the patient of services, payments, and outstanding balances. The practice determines who gets the statements and what information will be included. The printing and processing of the statements is typically handled by QSIDental’s Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) group or another vendor.

Creating statements is an important process that provides details to the patient about recent transactions and outstanding balances. From the practice perspective, sending statements locks the patients’ accounts, preventing editing and securing data.

For many practices, reviewing the list of intended statements is a critical step to ensuring the appropriate accounts are receiving statements and that the information is accurate.

QSIDental’s EDI team is integral in creating statements, relieving the practice of the burden of physically printing, processing and mailing the statements sent electronically to them. However, for practices that do not use EDI, additional options are available.

The Statements module is located under the Reports menu. There are multiple options for managing the list of patients that should receive statements and for customizing the statement itself.
