Periodontal health is an important component to a patient's overall oral health. In addition
to the comprehensive periodontal module, QSIDental Web® has a Perio Screening and
Recording (PSR) module that allows for a quick evaluation of a patient's
periodontal health.
To open the PSR module, click the PSR/DSR icon
on the toolbar.
The PSR module has two tabs. Like many of the QSIDental Web modules, the tabs break the module into identifiable functions. In the case of the PSR module, the two tabs allow for the entry of data on the
Periodontal Screening
tab and the comparison of exams on the
Comparison
tab.
The
Periodontal Screening
tab is used to enter PSR exam findings. The sextant entry boxes are visible at the top of the screen. Data can be entered using the keyboard or using the numerical buttons down the left side. The buttons also have labels which offer guidance to taking the measurements.
The
Comparison
tab is used for comparing multiple PSR exams over time. The provider can select and compare measurements from up to six saved PSR exams. By comparing exams, any changes in the patient's condition can be evaluated.
